This year we harvested eight bull elk. Three in archery and five during the rifle season. The archery season also included four non-lethal wounded bulls and several missed shots. One mule deer and nine cow elk were also harvested this hunting season.
Frequent light rains provided average grass development. Although the drought ended in November of 2021, subsoil moisture is well below normal levels. We are hoping for above average snow accumulation this winter.
